#DA067 - Koontz Farm Milk Bottle Hanger
#DA067 - Koontz Farm Milk Bottle Hanger
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image.Vintage 8 7/8" tall thin cardboard milk bottle hanger. When the milkman came to the house, he left one of these hanging on a bottle. The reverse is an ordering form for milk, butter, eggs, and bread. The front has a great picture of the milkman and says "Good Morning" "If you want the very finest Dairy Products....  and if you are looking for an easy, time saving way to shop for them, Ladies - HERE IT IS!" These have some typical minor paper aging and edge spots, but you won't find any nicer. They were never used. They were found at the Koontz Dairy/Creamery in Baltimore, Maryland. Milk bottle hangers are very scarce and this is a good one. They are from around 1950.

#UPaper126 - 1870s Advertising Trade Card for the American Woven Leather Belting Co. - Milton Bradley
#UPaper126 - 1870s Advertising Trade Card for the American Woven Leather Belting Co. - Milton Bradley
Vintage 5 1/4" wide cardboard advertising trade card. This is a very old one from around 1870. This style of card was used before the advent of fancy color printing in the 1870s. Marked "The American Woven Leather Belting Co. Springfield, Mass." "Edward Coats, Pres" "Office 55 Fuller Building" "Factory, Belchertown, Mass". Interestingly, the printers mark says "Milton Bradley Co. Springfield, Mass". Around 1870, Milton Bradley had a lithography shop which is where these were made. Since they were printing boxes for their toys, they made some extra money doing lithography on the side too. They have a little paper aging, but are in amazing condition considering they are over 140 years old.

Vintage 13 1/2" tall Jungleland Coca Cola popcorn bag. Jungleland was a famous theme park in California that closed in the 1960s. So they are from around the 1960s or perhaps 50s. They have a large Coke logo and tiger head pictured. This is the single nicest looking Coca Cola popcorn bag that we have ever seen. Nothing else comes close.  The colors and look is spectacular and they are very uncommon. We recently bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot.
