They say "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" "Televi-News Television Magazines Cigars Sports Results" "New Philadelphia, Ohio". These are from around the late 1940s and are a very early television reference. They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community. These are in really good shape with intact never used strikers.

Vintage 8 3/4 - 10" tall (depending on which issue) 1940s Opera News magazine. They show some typical aging but are in nice shape. These are uncommon and often go for $5 each and up on Ebay. Some go for a lot more depending on who is on the cover. We have several different ones and don't know one from another. No special requests please. You may get the real high dollar one. Hard to tell. Opera News was founded in 1936 by the Metropolitan Opera Guild with Mrs. John DeWitt (Mary Ellis Peltz) serving as the publication's first editor. It was initially intended to be a "useful, instructive, and factual weekly newspaper of Opera in New York". Its first issue was published on 7 December 1936 and consisted of only one folded broadsheet.

#ZLCA043 - Roseco Evaporated Milk Label
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 9 3/4" wide Roseco Brand 14 1/2 ounce Evaporated Milk label. This is perhaps the most beautiful dairy label you will ever see. Stone litho image. Very deep and vibrant colors. Cow with milking stool and bucket pictured. Also a gigantic rose image. These labels have a printer's code on them that dates them to 1933. They are an amazing find. They came from a brewery in Minnesota! During prohibition, the brewery turned to canning milk since they couldn't make beer any more. It was a large operation and they canned milk for companies all over the country. The companies would send them the labels and they would can the milk and send it back with the companies label on it. Incredibly, as soon as prohibition was over, they returned immediately to brewing beer and a ton of canning labels were left sitting in the basement all those years.

Vintage 8mm square Picasso cube bead. These have an old Czech label that says dark tan and goes back to at least the 1950s.. These are one of the nicest looking Picassos we have come across. Just beautiful. Unsold old stock from an old store up in the northeast we recently visited. Excellent unused condition. Prices are per bead.

Vintage  2 1/2" - 3" long hard plastic cigarette holders.  I got these out of the defunct Pressner warehouse many many years ago where they had been sitting since around 1950. They are in excellent unused condition. Cigarette holders and novelties were popular during this early post war period.

#MUSIC1032 - 1990 Jimi Hendrix Comic with Real Autograph from the Comic Writer
Vintage 10 1/4" tall August 1990 Jimi Hendrix Rock Fantasy comic. These are loose and will grade between a 9 and 10. They have a real autograph on the inside from James Harmon who was the writer and also did the artwork on this one. This was one of a series where various rock stars dead and alive plot to meet on the dark side of the moon for concert. It was an ambitious project and the only rock comic out there for a short time until Marvel moved in with their rock series and put them out of business. These are not particularly rare as a lot were made during their short lifespan, but they are rare in this kind of condition with the creator's autograph. We got these from our roadie friend too.

Vintage Wellman-Seaver-Morgan Stock certificate. This was a large company that manufactured steel products in Cleveland, Ohio. I got them from a local dealer who picked them up at a flea market in Cleveland several years ago. I've spent some time looking and these appear to be the only examples on the internet. Some are unused and some are dated in the 1930s or earlier. Less than 50 total. Some have small bends.
