#CH642 - Licensed Rocky Horror Show Pinback - Pictures the Character Named Rocky Horror
#CH642 - Licensed Rocky Horror Show Pinback - Pictures the Character Named Rocky Horror
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1 1/2" diameter Rocky Horror Show pinback picturing the character Rocky Horror. Marked "Copyright 1983 Twentieth Century Film Corp", and "Button-up" around the rim. The Rocky Horror Show is widely considered the most successful movie to develop a massive cult following. To this day, when the movie is shown at a large theater, it is a big event.  Fans bear buttons and signs and sing along and speak all the lines while the movie is going on. These old licensed pinbacks are not common. Most you see on Ebay are modern. These are the old originals. We uncovered them in an old vending warehouse here locally. Excellent unused condition.

#TZCards207 - Two Different Pacific Ocean Park 1¢ Arcade John Wayne Cards
#TZCards207 - Two Different Pacific Ocean Park 1¢ Arcade John Wayne Cards
You get the pair for $3. (That's $1.50 each). These are very rare Ocean Park Penny Arcade 4 in 1 cards featuring John Wayne with a signature. These are different from the other one we have offered elsewhere in this catalog. Excellent unused condition. One card has John Wayne, Buck Jones, Don Barry, and Allan Lane. The other one has John Wayne, Bob Livingston, Dick Foran, and Buddy Roosevelt.

Ocean Park was built in Santa Monica, CA in 1958 and closed in 1967. It was a very large park that was built to compete with Disneyland. However, city planners, in an effort to renew the area, demolished buildings and closed streets all around the park so people couldn't find there way in. Even though it was a huge park, it was forced to close it's doors and the contents were auctioned off in 1968. These cards are marked "Pacific Ocean Park Arcade 1¢" on the front and have a postcard back.

#SIGN112 - Rare Early B.P.O.Elks Paper Flag on Pin
#SIGN112 - Rare Early B.P.O.Elks Paper Flag on Pin

Vintage 2" wide paper flag on metal pin for the B.P.O.Elks. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (also known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks) is to this day one of the largest fraternal orders in the United States with around a million current members. It was formed as a fraternal order and social club in 1868 and has a lot of rituals, traditions, and regalia that is very simllar to the Freemasons.  It was a boys only club until recent years, and many lodges are still men only. They sponsored an insurance fund in the 1800s that was banned in 1907 when the money was mismanaged. Since then it has been a social club that has donated to many charities. These flags are very early and came out of a factory that made silks and flags many years ago. Based on the master boxes, I'd say they are from the early 1900s. As far as we can tell, these are the only examples known.  They say "B.P.O.Elks" and have the society Elk logo on them. The flags are paper with some aging, and the pins have a little light rust, but are in amazing condition for their age. There was not a big bunch of these found and we have all of them.

#TMSpirits064 - Cinci Cream Beer Tent - As low as 75¢ each
#TMSpirits064 - Cinci Cream Beer Tent - As low as 75¢ each
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5 3/4" tall when folded up Cinci Cream Beer Table Tent. Front pictures "The Handsome Waiter" and says "Original since 1882 Cinci Cream Canadian Lager Beer". The reverse says "Who wants the handsome waiter" "It seems everybody wants the Handsome Waiter now that he's brought back Cinci Cream Lager Beer. Back around 1880, Cincinnati was the beer capital of the world. More beer was sold from Cincinnati breweries than anywhere in the world, and it was widely claimed to be the best in the world. In 1882, a company in Canada started making what they called Cincinnati Cream beer to capitalize on the phenomena. They supposedly copied the beer recipe from a Cincinnati company whose name they would not divulge. Apparently it worked as they were in business for a long long time. Around the 1970s, the beer was imported back in the U.S. because of it's popularity in Canada. These are from that time period. Excellent unused condition from the distributor warehouse in Baltimore, MD.

#MISCELLANEOUS232 Early Unused Coney Island Ticket for the World in Wax Musee Attraction
#MISCELLANEOUS232 Early Unused Coney Island Ticket for the World in Wax Musee Attraction
Vintage 2 1/8" wide ticket for the Coney Island (New York) World in Wax Musee. These are the oldest version I have seen. The attraction opened in the 1920s and tickets were 20¢ in the 1940s, so they likely go back to at least the 1930s. These came from a fellow that had a store that sold souvenirs along the Coney Island boardwalk. He was a collector and ran into this kind of stuff because he was right there on the boardwalk. They are in excellent unused condition. This is a rare item.
