##MUSICGD2012 - Grateful Dead Car Window Tour Sticker/Decal - Bear and Steal Your Face Skull

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 5" tall Grateful Dead sticker/decal. These are high quality art decals that were made for car windows. I peeled the cover off for the picture. They are in mint condition and can still be used. This one is from the early to mid 1990s. The skull is a Grateful Dead character called Steal Your Face, and he has a green Grateful Dead bear where his brain should be. Excellent unused condition.

These Grateful Dead stickers/decals are old tour merchandise. I found them wrapped in plastic in boxes in master cases. They came from a distributor who sold them to tour vendors. The condition is pristine and they still will work as a car decal or window/mirror sticker. We found them packed away in storage boxes dated 1992 (many are older than that) and 1995 (year Jerry Garcia died). They are high quality artist renderings of Grateful Dead themes. Back in the day, the Dead did not monitor copyrights and that sort of thing, and in fact, at one point encouraged artists to do designs. The LA times explained it well “The Grateful Dead was famously lax in enforcing it’s intellectual property rights and trademarks, allowing fans to create their own designs using the band’s expansive iconography”. Since there was no serious monitoring or much concern back then, a lot of up and coming artists got involved in designing them. This is how some of them got their starts. Some of the sticker artists who designed these stickers went on to produce official licensed works for the Grateful Dead and other famous groups. These stickers include some by now famous designers including David Opie, and others. These 1995 and older stickers are very hard to find anymore.

#TZCards111 Complete 16 Card Exhibit Supply Then and Now Female Movie Star Cards

Vintage complete set of "Then and Now" arcade card with female movie stars of the day and their childhood pictures. Circa 1950. The set includes Doris Day, Veronica Lake, Debbie Reynolds, Piper Laurie, Jane Powell, Jane Weyman, Mona Freeman, Shelley Winters, Loretta Young, Virginia Maya, Terry Moore, Kathryn Grayson, Jennifer Jones, Jeanne Crain, Debra Paget, and Yvonne DeCarlo. These came from a closed arcade and were in the original bricks market Exhibit Supply. They are in near perfect condition. Some are "colorized". The complete sets like this are very rare. The individual cards turn up every once in awhile. The common ones retail for around $3, but the scarcer ones go for up to $10.

#BEADS0939 - Strand of 24 Cherry Brand Glass 12mm Rose Colored Glass Beads

Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. You get 24 12mm beads for $4.42 (15¢ each). Vintage temporary strand of fancy Cherry Brand Japanese beads. They are heavy 12mm diameter rose colored glass beads. These are temporary strands. They were made by hand using old techniques. The crude shapes really enhance the look. These are 1940s Cherry Brand (company only existed from 1946 - 1951). As you may know, Cherry Brand was considered the highest quality Japanese bead maker. This is a very fresh find we made from a dealer in New York who originally purchased them in the 1940s. These are very hard to find, very nice, and have never seen the light of day.
