#CC229 - Large Coca Cola Jungleland Popcorn Bag
#CC229 - Large Coca Cola Jungleland Popcorn Bag
Vintage 13 1/2" tall Jungleland Coca Cola popcorn bag. Jungleland was a famous theme park in California that closed in the 1960s. It was used for many Hollywood films and catered to the film industry. These bags were stored in the bottom of the popcorn machines when the park closed. So they are from around the 1960s or perhaps 50s. They have a large Coke logo and tiger head pictured. This is the single nicest looking Coca Cola popcorn bag that we have ever seen. Nothing else comes close.  The colors and look is spectacular and they are very uncommon. We recently bought part of a huge collection of Coke items. These were part of the lot. The fellow that had this stuff is a friend who searched old bottling plants and hauled most of this stuff out many years ago. They are in excellent unused condition.

#CH326-11 - Early William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy) Three Men from Texas Poster/Broadside
#CH326-11 - Early William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy) Three Men from Texas Poster/Broadside
Vintage 13 1/2" tall paper movie poster/broadside from the 1940 movie "Three Men from Texas" starring William Boyd who is better known as Hopalong Cassidy. This was one of his earlier movies. Please click the picture to see a more detailed image. Back in the day, when a new movie was going to play at the local theatre, there would be a guy who would run around town tacking these things on bulletin boards, telephone poles, fence posts, or anyplace else where they might be seen. Because most were outdoors, few have survived. Some will have small edge tears or roughness, but this is true of all paper movie broadsides, and they can easily be trimmed for framing. Although, a few small imperfections kind of adds to the look with these. Colors vary. We got them from the estate of famous dealer and friend Bob Secrist. He found them in the storage area of an old theatre up in Northeast Ohio.

#UPaper070 - Tamarack & Custer Cons. Mining Co. Pay Roll Check
#UPaper070 - Tamarack & Custer Cons. Mining Co. Pay Roll Check
8 3/4" wide Pay Roll check. These are all cashed checks from 1947 that were left after the operation closed. The checks are from Wallace, Idaho.  They are in really nice condition. This was a fairly large long running operation that mined mainly lead, zinc, copper, and gold. They ended up being a large company that bought a lot of other smaller mines. They ended up with 90 claims.  The mines became depleted over time and by 1957, they no longer did mining.  They just leased the rights. These are a nice piece of mining history.
