#CH585 - Magic The Gathering Paperback Novel - Dissension Ravnica Cycle Book III

Some of the game cards sell for many thousands of dollars. This is Book 3 of the story.  It is marked "First Printing April 2006". We suspect this is a good one to hold onto for awhile for probable price appreciation. They came from a long closed warehouse in the Chicago area. We uncovered them very recently. Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 3 1/8" wide solid metal carton opener. Box is pictured in back of it. Front says "Janney-Marshall Co., Inc. Fredericksburg, VA.". Reverse lip is marked "Kutto Jr. #2 Mfd by The Modern Spec. Company" "Carton Opener Write for Blades" "Chicago, ILL".  Circa 1940s. One razor blade is attached and included.  Please be careful with these. Excellent unused condition. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast.

#CS480 - WWII Era Full Box of Astor Brand Pure Whole Allspice

These are from the 1940s when there was a metal shortage during WWII. Afterwards, the company returned to using a tin and then plastic design. These are in spectacular excellent unused condition. We acquired them from the estate of Zane Shaffer who was one of the largest country store dealers on the East Coast.

#CS531 - Invisible Shoulder Comforts on Original Display Card - Cellophane Wrap

They are wrapped in cellophane and on on a 6 3/4" display card that says "Invisible Shoulder Comforts" "Invisible in Wear" "Removable Enameled Fittings". They are unsold old store stock that we rescued. They are from around 1940 and are in excellent condition.

#CS533 - Group of 12 Gay Girl Hair Clips on Display Cards

This is a 3 1/4" display card from the 1950s that says "Gay Girl". the word "gay" had a different meaning back then. "Gay" was the brand name. They are unsold old store stock that we recently rescued. They are in unused condition, but have some curls or imperfections on the cards from being stacked in storage so long.  Very rare item.

#DA111  - Large Borden Ice Cream Brochure with Elsie

Pictures Elsie and all sorts of patriotic treats. These are from 1976 when patriotism was running very high. These were found in the long closed Borden plant in Columbus, Ohio. There is a coupon at the bottom that went to the Borden Dairy Division that was in Clinton, Iowa and is also long gone.

They came from the estate of the late Larry "The Bottleman" Johnson, who was a friend. Larry was a picker his whole life, and he will be missed by the antique community.

These will fit any old cottage cheese container with that size opening which was common back in the day. They are marked "Northside Dairy Creamed Cottage Cheese 16 oz. Aurora, Indiana". They are circa 1950 and in excellent unused condition. We recently purchased these out of an old collection.

#HH200 - Huge Diecut Mechanical Valentine with Cat that is a Jester Puppet - Original Envelope
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage huge 9 1/2" tall diecut mechanical valentine that features a cat in a jester's outfit with puppet strings. The cat's head swivels on a brass grommet. Nice condition. Unusual image. The picture is set against the original envelope which is included.  From a long closed factory that made them in the 1950s. Includes original envelope. Very colorful. These days it will cost you $5 to buy a new good quality oversize card with the envelope like this. These are a real bargain.

Vintage 11" tall 1981 coloring/souvenir book that was given away compliments of "Jane M. Byrne Mayor of Chicago". There is a note from the Mayor inside talking about this book commemorating Chicago's 1981 Circus Parade. These are unused and in great condition. Very uncommon.

Unused condition. 1950s. They show typical minor paper aging.

#MISCELLANEOUS366 - Cloisonné Pin Made for the Launch of the NASA STS-60 - First American Mission with Russian Cosmonaut Sergie Krikalev
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 1" diameter good quality metal and cloisonné pinback made for the February 3, 1994 launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Marked with the crew's names - "Chang-Diaz, Bolden, Sega, Reightler, Krikalev, and Davis". There is a pinch clamp on the back for attaching to clothing. This is an uncommon one. Excellent unused condition.

#MISCELLANEOUS376 -  Unused Pike Amusement Go-Kart Speedway Ticket - Long Beach, CA
Click the picture to see a larger more detailed image. Vintage 2" wide ticket for the Pike Amusement Corp. Go-Kart Speedway. The park ran as Pike Amusement from 1902 - 1959. These are circa 1950s. In 1959, they changed the name to Nu-Pike, then a little later to Queens Park, until they finally closed in 1979. They are in excellent unused condition.

They were donated to a museum that wanted to sell them to raise funds for a monument dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt, but, the museum owner passed away. Now, the are here. Excellent condition.
